Attorney asks for dismissal in case

GRAND FORKS (AP) -- An attorney for an oral surgeon accused of inappropriately touching female patients says a hearing examiner is recommending the complaints of four women be dismissed.

GRAND FORKS (AP) -- An attorney for an oral surgeon accused of inappropriately touching female patients says a hearing examiner is recommending the complaints of four women be dismissed.

Dr. Greg Frokjer's attorney, Kerry Rosenquist, said Administrative Law Judge Allen Hoberg made his recommendation to the state Board of Dental Examiners. The board's president and attorney did not return calls Tuesday seeking comment.

"I hope, obviously, this sends a strong message to the Board of Dental Examiners to follow his (Hoberg's) recommendations," Rosenquist said.

The four women accused Frokjer of unprofessional conduct and inappropriate touching during presurgical physical exams. Frokjer said he was performing routine physicals needed before surgery.

Hoberg heard testimony during a May hearing on the complaints.
