DICKINSON, N.D. - One suspect is in custody following a high-speed chase this morning which ended in a field between here and South Heart.
There were no injuries and area law enforcement said the Nissan pick-up truck the man was driving was stolen.
Officers tried to stop the man on Interstate 94 but he didn't. They pursued the vehicle and he eventually fled on foot but was captured and arrested by officers. The chase ended on North Dakota University Extension land.
"I think it was a good combined effort to get him into custody," North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper Wade Kadrmas said of the agencies involved, which included the NDHP, Stark County and Billings County sheriff's departments, Dickinson Police Department and a National Forest Service officer.
