FARGO (AP) -- A Wisconsin-based software producer is opening an office in Fargo.
Esterline Control Systems AVISTA produces software for the aerospace, defense, medical and industrial manufacturing industries.
Company vice president Tom Bragg said the availability of software engineers in Fargo-Moorhead and the proximity to current client Phoenix International were reasons the company decided to locate in Fargo.
The Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp. said the Fargo office is expected to open by the end of July and initially house up to seven engineers. The company eventually plans to employ up to 30 engineers in Fargo.
