Bertha Belz, 95, Jamestown, formerly Edgeley, N.D., died Monday, July 9, 2007, at Central Dakota Village, Jamestown.
Bertha Anna Belz was born Nov. 17, 1911, on a farm near Diesem, N.D., the daughter of Fred and Emma (Belz) Schardin. She was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley. She attended school at Diesem for two years, then Ray Township School, LaMoure County, North Dakota, and later Bluebird Township School, LaMoure County. She worked on the farm with her family until they moved to Edgeley in 1961. She then worked at the Red Owl Grocery Store, Edgeley, for a few years. She also cared for her parents and other members of her family. She moved to Jamestown in 1989 and became a resident of Central Dakota Village, Jamestown, in 2005. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley.
She is survived by three sisters, Lelia Schardin, Jamestown, and Alyce (Harold) Kurtz and Violet Podenski, both Edgeley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Zion Lutheran Church, Edgeley.

Visitation: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley.
