Bicyclist injured Sunday afternoon

A bicyclist was taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center Sunday after being struck by a pickup, the North Dakota Highway Patrol reported.
The accident happened at 3:40 p.m. on N.D. Highway 30, 1 mile south of Streeter.
The patrol said Michael Dean, 55, Gackle, was riding his mountain bike southbound along the right edge of the southbound lane when he was struck with the right side of a 2000 Chevrolet pickup driven southbound on the highway by Shane Dockter, 41, Streeter.
Dean was wearing a helmet when he was thrown from the bike into the west ditch, the patrol said.
Dockter was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt. Dockter was cited for improper passing, according to the patrol.
The crash remains under investigation.
