Bike Safety Rodeo is here Thursday

A Bike Safety Rodeo sponsored by the James Valley Fraternal Order of Police, Jamestown Parks and Recreation, Central Valley Health, Jamestown Optimists and Newman Signs will be from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Wilson Arena (use the east doors). Free hot dogs and pop will be served.
The rodeo includes a safety course for children to ride bikes through. Officials from the police department as well as the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department will be on hand to inspect bikes, tires, and brakes for safety. The Optimist Club will provide free bike helmets (while supplies last).
The Parks Program in Leapaldt Park, Nickeus Park, McElroy Park and Meidinger Park will not be open for Thursday afternoon. For more information, call the Jamestown Parks and Recreation Office, 252-3982.
