North Dakota State and North Dakota are ranked high in the Street & Smith College Football Preview preseason football rankings.

North Dakota State is ranked No. 4 in the preseason FCS (Division I-AA) preseason top 25. The Bison went 10-1 last season and finished No. 5 in the final national polls. They rank behind defending national champion Appalachian State, Montana and New Hampshire in the preseason Top 25.

Two Bison players -- punter Mike Dragosavich and offensive tackle Nate Safe -- were named to the magazine's preseason All-American team.

In the Street & Smith Division II preseason poll, the Fighting Sioux rank No. 3, behind defending national champion Grand Valley State and Northwest Missouri State.

Nebraska-Omaha, which shared the North Central Conference title with UND last year before losing to the Sioux in the NCAA Division II playoffs, is ranked fifth. NCC rival South Dakota is ranked 11th. Winona State of the Northern Sun conference is at No. 23.

The Fighting Sioux went 11-2 last season, falling to Grand Valley State in the Division II quarterfinals.
