Boardings at Jamestown Regional Airport were up 34.53 percent this April compared to last year.

In Jamestown, 300 people boarded flights in April compared to 233 in 2009. The trend in increases is the same across the board for all eight North Dakota commercial airports.

"In April North Dakota airline boardings were up 14.3 percent as compared to last year in April," said Larry Taborsky, director of the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission in a press release. "All eight commercial airports experienced an increase giving the state a 10-year high of 58,796 total boardings for the month."

Sloulin Field International Airport in Williston showed the largest increase with 1,211 boardings in April of 2010, compared to 809 in 2009, a 49.69 percent jump.

Devils Lake Regional Airport had four additional boardings, up to 370 compared to 366 in 2009.
