Buckstop Junction to host celebration

Buckstop Junction is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a corn feed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 19 at the intersection of Bismarck Expressway and East Main in Bismarck.

Buckstop Junction is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a corn feed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 19 at the intersection of Bismarck Expressway and East Main in Bismarck.

Gate admission is $3 for adults and students 13 and older, $1 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 6.

Food will be served right after the 11 a.m. flag raising. The menu includes sweet corn on the cob, fresh-popped popcorn, fry bread, burgers, brats, hot dogs, beef on a bun, beans, BBQ, sarsaparilla, coffee, pop, ice cold water, lemonade, homemade cookies, watermelon, ice cream and more.

Entertainment will include ragtime piano, cloggers, old Five & Dimers, all day disk jockey, face painting, balloons, old time sing-a-long and children's games.

There will be demonstrations and displays including vintage cars, model railroad, woodcarvers, hardanger and quilts.

There will be several special events, including: 9:30 a.m., Bethel Church service with the Rev. John Nicholai; 11 a.m., AMVETS flag raising; 1 p.m., Foley House Centennial Celebration; and noon, 2 and 3 p.m. the Cowboy Action Performers. Call (701) 255-6311 for infor-mation.
