DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) -- The Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation has put off a proposal to lease the Bunkhouse Motel to energy companies, but will continue to rent rooms to energy workers at the Badlands Motel through the winter.
The Dickinson Press reports the housing issues are stirring debate among city officials as the area struggles to accommodate an influx of oil workers.
Foundation president Randy Hatzenbuhler says workers will be able to rent the rooms through the winter, but come spring, the rooms will be opened up for "the traveling public."
