CAVALIER, N.D. (AP) -- Residents of the northeast North Dakota city of Cavalier have overwhelmingly rejected a proposed $11.5 million school bond issue.
The Grand Forks Herald reports that the unofficial results of Tuesday's election show 75 percent of voters against the proposal. About 1,250 people voted.
Superintendent Frank Schill says the project would have upgraded the K-12 school that has about 400 students.
