Central Valley Health District only providing Pfizer COVID booster doses

Central Valley Health District will announce when it is ready to begin administering the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson booster doses.

Central Valley Health District is currently only providing Pfizer COVID-19 booster doses at this time.

CVHD is continuing to receive calls and questions about Moderna and Johnson & Johnson booster vaccinations, said Robin Iszler, unit administrator.

While Moderna and Johnson & Johnson manufacturers have been authorized emergency use authorization by the Food and Drug Administration for booster doses for those 18 years and older, CVHD is waiting for the proper guidance from the North Dakota Department of Health for the administration of the booster vaccinations.

“We will be receiving more information from them (Department of Health) on the proper dosage for the boosters for Moderna and J&J and how to safety mix-and-match vaccine in the near future,” Iszler said.

CVHD will need time to order and receive an appropriate allocation of vaccine prior to beginning administration, she said. CVHD will announce when it is ready to begin administering the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson booster doses.
