BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (AP) -- Petroleum Development Co. said Thursday that its chief executive will retire at the end of 2008.
Steven Williams became president of the Bridgeport-based natural gas and oil company in 1983 and said it is time for another chapter in his life.
Petroleum Development has operations in Colorado, Kansas, Michigan, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, West Virginia and Wyoming. Its stock rose 10 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $50.01 in afternoon trading.
