Child injured in two-vehicle crash

A child was injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Linda Dutenhafer, 50, 1600 11th Ave. N.E. #6, was driving a 2005 Dodge east on 17th Street Southwest near the 800 block just before 6 p.m.

Clarence Hanson, 83, 810 16 1/2 St. N.E., was driving a 2007 Dodge. He had stopped and was facing north at the intersection of 17th Street and Eighth Avenue Southwest. Dutenhafer arrived at the intersection just as Hanson moved from the stopped position and struck her.

One of Dutenhafer's passengers, Zoe Traut, 8, 1600 11th Ave. N.E. #21, claimed injury. The other passengers, Shayna Dutenhafer, 28, 1600 11th Ave. N.E., #17, Tatum Aabrekke, 7, 1600 11th Ave. #17, Mason Schweitzer, 5, 1218 Sixth Ave. N.E. #202, Riley Traut, 5, 11th Ave. N.E. #21, and Molly Walch, 4, 902 James Ave., were not injured.

The Dodge Hanson was driving sustained $3,000 in damage. The Dodge Dutenhafer was driving sustained $2,000 in damage.

Hanson was cited for failure to yield after stopping.
