Child shooting being investigated

FELTON, Minn.-Authorities are investigating the shooting of a 22-month-old Felton girl on Friday.
The baby is alive and in stable condition, Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist said Friday.
The sheriff spoke by phone as he left Felton, about 27 miles northeast of Fargo-Moorhead, where his department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating.
Authorities began their inquiry after receiving a call at 5:30 a.m. Friday from Sanford Medical Center in Fargo informing them that a “girl was brought in that had been shot.”
Bergquist said he did not know if the shooting was accidental or criminal.
“We’re investigating to find out what it is,” he said.
