The parking lot of the Jamestown Civic Center will remain temporarily closed while there are no activities at the facility, said Pam Fosse, manager of the Civic Center.
Fosse said some individuals had been training to drive or practicing driving semi-trucks in the parking lot recently.
That is not the intent of a public parking lot," she said. "The city was concerned about possible damage to vehicles parked there by the public and to public property."
The Civic Center is currently closed to the public as part of the community precautions resulting from the coronavirus pandemic.
