'COVID-19 Safety for Schools' training offered

JSSP School News

To provide guidance to schools related to COVID-19, the North Dakota Safety Council and EAPC created free virtual training courses in partnership with multiple agencies, including the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and North Dakota Department of Health.

"Teachers, cleaning staff, administration, coaches and bus drivers all have unique scenarios to consider," says Don Moseman, NDSC master instructor. "Our goal is to give them the knowledge and confidence to reopen safely this fall."

The free virtual training events, titled COVID-19 Safety for Schools, will take place June 16, June 30, July 22 and July 29. Two courses will be held each day. The first course will address classroom applications and will be held from 8 a.m. to noon. The second course addresses operations and transportation considerations and will be from 1 to 5 p.m.

Each course will include a brief overview of COVID-19 characteristics and how those characteristics impact cleaning procedures, hygiene, shared equipment and more.

All North Dakota schools are invited to attend. To select your course date and register, go to www.ndsc.org .
