ABERDEEN, S.D. — A 64-year-old woman was found dead in her van Wednesday, Aug. 28, at a hotel in Aberdeen.
Police and medics were called to the Best Western Ramkota Hotel and Convention Center parking lot for a report of a woman in a van who wasn't breathing.
Brown County Coroner Mike Carlsen said it appears the woman died of natural causes, and there's no evidence of foul play. It also appears the woman was living in the van, which was purchased about two months ago.
The woman had a South Dakota license, but Carlsen said it's not known where she was from.
He said the woman had been parking in different places in the hotel parking lot for the past month, and it appears she might have had undiagnosed health issues.
