Door-to-door salesmen without the proper permits from the city of Jamestown were told they could not make calls in the city Saturday, according to Justin Blinsky, assistant chief of police., Jamestown Police Department.

Blinsky said the people were calling on residents attempting to sell television subscriptions when residents called the Stutsman County Communications Center. Jamestown police officers located the salesmen and informed them they would need a permit from the city of Jamestown to continue making calls in the community.

Jamestown City Hall was closed on Saturday making permits unavailable through the weekend. The salesmen left the community, Blinsky said.
