BISMARCK — A Mandaree, N.D., man faces an attempted murder charge after a tailgating incident escalated into a stabbing last weekend in Bismarck.
An arrest warrant for Codeyro Spider, 23, was issued Thursday, Oct. 15, after Burleigh County prosecutors filed a Class A felony count of attempted murder against him. According to court documents:
Witnesses said they noticed a Cadillac Escalade was tailgating them as they left Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse in downtown Bismarck. The driver of the Escalade, later identified as Spider, yelled at them, and one of the witnesses in the vehicle that was being tailgated yelled back.
After pulling into the train depot parking lot at 407 Main Ave. E., the Cadillac sideswiped the vehicle it was following.
After exiting the vehicles, a verbal argument broke out, followed by a physical altercation. One person was stabbed several times in the head, according to court documents. Spider allegedly fled the scene.
The man’s skull was punctured, and if untreated he could have died, the court documents said.
