FARGO -- Raymond Christoph Gunn, 40, was booked into the Cass County Jail just before 7 a.m. Sunday, July 25, on a murder charge.

Gunn was arrested at the Loaf 'N Jug off North University Drive in Fargo just after 11 p.m. Saturday following a shooting in the parking lot.

The victim, who police say is an adult male, died at the hospital. The victim's name has not been released.

One witness said prior to the shooting, the victim asked him for a cigarette in the driveway between the Loaf 'N Jug and The Bison Turf.

Another witness, who was on the second floor patio of The Bison Turf with friends when the shooting happened, said he didn't hear anything prior to hearing one gunshot.

The witnesses said they went and looked down into the parking lot and said there was a man on the ground asking for help, so some of them went downstairs to help the man who had been shot.

They claim Gunn had gone inside the gas station to get napkins to help stop the bleeding until help arrived.

When police arrived, those witnesses stated that Gunn then laid the gun at his feet and told police he was sorry.
