BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The North Dakota Game and Fish Department is continuing surveillance for chronic wasting disease and bovine tuberculosis, and hunters are once again being encouraged to take part.

Samples will be collected this fall from hunter-harvested deer from the central part of the state, along with a couple of hunting units in the northeast and southwest. All moose and elk taken in the state are eligible for testing.

A list of deer head drop-off sites can be found at http://www.gf.nd.gov . In addition to testing hunter-harvested deer, Game and Fish also tests animals found sick or dead.
