Dakota Grasslands supervisor to fill in

BISMARCK (AP) -- The supervisor of the U.S. Forest Service's Dakota Prairie Grasslands will be in Wyoming for four months to fill in as supervisor of the Shoshone National Forest.

BISMARCK (AP) -- The supervisor of the U.S. Forest Service's Dakota Prairie Grasslands will be in Wyoming for four months to fill in as supervisor of the Shoshone National Forest.

Dave Pieper was asked to fill in after the retirement of Rebecca Aus earlier this year.

Darla Lenz will come to Bismarck to be acting supervisor for the Dakota Prairie Grasslands. Lenz has worked as a botanist on the grasslands. She currently is a district ranger at the Ottawa National Forest in Michigan and is to start work in Bismarck on July 5.

The Dakota Prairie Grasslands office oversees four national grasslands in North Dakota and South Dakota.
