July 15: Beaver Lake.

Fishing:

N.D. Game & Fish Dept. District Game Wardens: Alkaline Lake and Lake Josephine remain good. Jamestown Reservoir continues producing small walleye. Scattered lakes throughout the southeast generally remain fair to good. Northern pike activity at Warsing Dam. Lake Sakakawea fair farther west. Slower to the east. Lake Audubon fair. Brekken-Holmes and Crooked lakes slow to fair with times of good success. Missouri River spotty. Washburn slowed. Fair for catfish and walleye in chutes.

Coal Mine Lake, Anamoose: No report available.

Devils Lake, C & M Bait, Black Tiger Bay: Continued good for walleye, white bass, and northern pike. Try variety of presentations and move around with success throughout much of the lake.

Devils Lake, Ed's Bait & Tackle, Devils Lake: Continued good walleye success throughout much of Devils Lake. Try live bait in 10 to 15 feet using slip bobbers and leeches or bottom bouncers and spinners. Leeches still preferred bait but nightcrawler switch is coming.

Devils Lake, Randy's Bait Shop, Minnewaukan: Fair to good walleye success using spinners or harnesses with leeches or nightcrawlers along the Golden Highway. Also try Mauvais Coulee, main flats, or Howard's Bay. Work 12 to 18 feet trolling or 8 to 12 feet with live bait. Try Pelican Lake for bigger fish. Continued good northern pike success using smelt, herring, anchovies or spoons. White bass remain fair to good using minnows, bobbers, and hooks.

Devils Lake, Woodland Resort, Creel Bay: Fair to good for small walleye. Try trolling with slip bobbers along the flats in 15 to 17 feet. White bass and northern pike remain good.

Jamestown Reservoir, Dan's Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Success slowed, although still some small walleye with occasional keeper. Work deeper.

Jamestown Reservoir, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Best success seems to be morning or evening walleye bite.

Lake Ashtabula, Bay Shore Resort, Valley City: Anglers finding an abundance of small walleye with occasional keeper mixed in. Good panfish success with nice bunches of bluegill and decent perch success. Fair bass success but not quite as good as last year.

Lake Sakakawea, Cenex Bait & Tackle, Garrison: Fair to good for smallmouth bass in bays in shallow water. Lake Audubon fair for walleye. Try sunken humps, U.S. Highway 83 embankment or 9-Mile Bay using variety of presentations and baits. Not many reports from the Missouri River with most activity on Sakakawea.

Lake Sakakawea, Indian Hills Resort, Garrison: Work deeper in 20 to 30 feet for walleye using spinners with leeches or nightcrawlers. Move around and try Deepwater Bay area.

Lake Sakakawea, Scott's Bait & Tackle, Pick City: Some walleye from back bays of Lake Sakakawea using live bait in shallow water. Also try 20 to 25 feet using nightcrawlers or leeches with some minnows in Douglas Bay or around main island points. Generally spotty but fair, likely weather-related. Also try spinners and bottom bouncers in 25 feet. Missouri River producing walleye from rocks at night. Also try down river using live bait. Try honey hole, stumps or coal vein using jigs or nightcrawlers. Also try cable crossing with bottom bouncers and spinners.

Missouri River, Dakota Tackle, Bismarck: Spotty walleye success.

Pipestem Reservoir, Dan's Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Fair to good for crappie. Try north side of Parker's.

Pipestem Reservoir, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Somewhat of a morning or evening bite.

Spiritwood Lake, Dan's Sooper Stop, Jamestown: Fair to good for walleye with evening bite using slip bobbers.

Spiritwood Lake, Pioneer Bait Shop, Jamestown: Try an evening bite for smallmouth bass.

Missouri River, Garrison Dam average daily discharge: 16,800 cubic feet per second.

Red River, Fargo gauge: Streamflow, 3,480 cfs; river stage, 17.43 feet.

Sheyenne River, Bald Hill gauge: Streamflow, 110 cfs; river stage, 24.07 feet.
