DEVILS LAKE, N.D. -- The name of the victim of a fatal house fire here Sunday has been released.
Harry Abercrombie, 78, was the lone occupant of 1002 1st St., where Devils Lake Fire Department responded to a fire at about 1 p.m. The department determined the cause of the fire as smoking materials, Fire Chief Jim Moe said.
Devils Lake Police Department assisted in the investigation, Detective Sue Schwab said.
The victim’s body was sent to the University of North Dakota for an autopsy. Results have not been released.
