The North Dakota Safety Council has hired Skyler Dutton as a safety consultant to keep up with the growing need for safety training in North Dakota.
Dutton has experience in law enforcement and safety. He earned his degree in criminal justice and physical education at Jamestown College before attending the Law Enforcement Training Academy in Bismarck. Dutton was a volunteer firefighter as well as a North Dakota police officer for nine years. While working as an officer, Dutton served as a certified drug recognition expert and school resource officer. Most recently, Dutton worked as a health, safety & environmental manager and logistics coordinator in the Bakken.
He is currently qualified to teach CPR/automated external defibrillators/ first aid, defensive driving course - four hours, Coach Me Advanced Behind-The-Wheel, Reasonable Suspicion for Supervisors, and Responsible Beverage Server training.
