Twenty-nine students were awarded 33 scholarships by Jamestown Dollars for Scholars (JDFS), a program of Scholarship America, at the Jamestown High School Awards Ceremony on May 22. JDFS awarded the following new scholarships for 2019: Chesterman Communications Scholarship, Olive B. Haitsch Scholarship,; Leonard Haitsch Scholarship, Wicklund/Shurr/JDFS Scholarship and Wildcat Way (Gussner Elementary alumni) Scholarship.

The scholarship recipients were selected on the basis of academic achievement and community involvement, including volunteer activity, with consideration given to student financial need.
