The 2019-2020 school year is going to be an AMAZING Adventure!
Our custodian staff have been working all summer to make sure the school shined up and ready for our eager students and staff. The teachers throughout the summer have been meeting and planning exciting activities to promote success. Staff returning includes: School Counselor Lisa Anderson,Kindergarten teachers Alison Offner and Lori Roberts, 1st grade teachers Melissa Foster and Amanda Schaffer, 2nd grade teachers Randa Carlson and Vanessa Edwards, 3rd grade teachers Riley Carlson and Jamie Eamon, 4th grade teachers Carla Kroeber and Kevin Peterson, 5th grade teacher Ashley Hochhalter, Title I teacher Abby Koropatnicki, Talented and Gifted Program teacher Nancy Anderson, Kinder Music teacher Heather Aune, 1st -5th Music teacher Meredith Meidinger, PE Coach Dave Beach, Resource Center teachers Mindy Blackmore, Tracy Gustafson, Jackie Schiele and JoDell Stading. Raider para educators will include Renae Ask, Jackie Barnes, Don Elstad, Diana Finck, Penny Gengler, Glendene Lee, Candice McNamee, Danette Mindt, Pam Peek, Jade Schafer, Jennifer Stavem, Christeen Walz and Stacia Zimprich. Also, returning is Head Cook Dawn Guthmiller, Assistant Cook Jane Roscoe, Fruit/Veggie assistant Mary Lou Kuss and Wendy Halvorson our cashier. Jada Anderson will be our new Instructional Coach. Joining our team this year is Laine Klasinski as a 5th grade teacher.

Roosevelt Elementary offers many opportunities to enhance student achievement; available for students in 3rd through 5th grade is Before and After School Homework Help. Roosevelt Elementary also has an After School Program that runs from 3 to 6 p.m. on school days. Fresh Fruit and Veggie snacks are provided three days a week.
Being a Title I school Roosevelt has personnel to provide small group learning environments. Through the SEEC and Americore we also provide one on one Reading support for students in Kinder through 3rd grade. The new addition to our school is the Maker Space. Here students work on STEM activities and explore new ideas through a hands-o approach.
We will be sponsoring a “Back to School Adventure” – on Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Come and meet the school staff and bring your school supplies so you are ready for the first day of school on Thursday, Aug. 22!
