UJ participates in Hour of Code
University of Jamestown majoring in education will take part in the “Hour of Code” from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the university’s SmartLab, according to Tena Lawrence, vice president of marketing for the university.
“Our pre-service teachers will be participating with many K-12 students not only throughout the state but worldwide,” said Dr. LeeAur Nelson, assistant professor at UJ. “This opportunity will provide them with computer science knowledge, skills and experience that they can take into K-12 classrooms.”
The Hour of Code is a one-hour introduction to computer science designed to show that everyone can learn the basics of coding.
