Students and teachers at St. John's Academy had an unexpected day off Tuesday, according to Jeff Trumbauer, principal of the school.

Problems reconnecting to the Jamestown sanitary sewer system as part of the construction project at the school caused the closure.

"Construction crew worked a long day to get us back and running," Trumbauer said.

St. John's Academy broke ground in May for a 27,000-square-foot addition and renovation project adding to the school's classrooms, common area, kitchen and chapel. The $5.95 million project is expected to be completed by August 2020.
