Barnes County North School hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Nov. 20 at Barnes County North School which collected 32 units of blood products for patients in need.

Thirty-two individuals volunteered to donate blood, and 29 individuals were able to donate, including three who gave Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. There were nine people who volunteered for the first time.

Vitalant expressed its gratitude to John Samuelson, who coordinated the drive, and student council which sponsored the blood drive, as well as others who assisted the day of the drive: Tristin Roaldson, Grant Porter, Makenzie Barclay, Ashley Weiss, Hailey Schaefer, Grace Mueller, Kendra Greshik, Justin Vrba, Danielle Revier, Colby Bruner, Ashley McFadgen, Ashley and Amanda Schuldheisz and Peter Bryn.
