Jamestown High School hosted a blood drive with Vitalant on Nov. 5-6 which collected 42 units of blood products for patients in need.
A total of 52 individuals volunteered to donate blood and 39 individuals were able to donate. Three donors gave Power Red Cells (2RBC) which collects two units of red blood cells while returning platelets, plasma and a saline solution to the donor. There were 26 people who volunteered for the first time.
Vitalant expressed its gratitude to Ken Gardner, who coordinated the drive, and the student council, which sponsored the blood drive.
