BEMIDJI, Minn. -- Police believe Rose Downwind met with foul play.

Now her ex-boyfriend is behind bars on domestic abuse charges from October in a case involving Downwind and is being questioned further about possible involvement in her disappearance.

For nearly two months the big mystery in Bemidji is what happened to the 31-year-old Downwind. Her family, along with the community has been relentless looking for answers

“Everyday I wake up and I wonder if Rose will be home today. Her babies miss her. I know they do, they have been asking about her,” said Rose Downwind's sister Kristy White during a search early last month.

The mother of five children has been missing since Oct. 19 when she was seen at Target in Bemidji.
