BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Federal grant money is available to local governments in North Dakota to upgrade diesel equipment.
The state Health Department says the $314,550 grant pool from the Environmental Protection Agency is aimed at reducing diesel emissions.
The "clean diesel" grants will reimburse about one-fourth of the cost of replacing older, less efficient diesel vehicles and equipment.
The grant guidelines and application form are available at http://www.ndhealth.gov/AQ/Notices.htm . The application deadline is 4 p.m. on Aug. 13.
