The Jamestown Fire Department reported the following calls for the month of April through May 7.

Call No. 73 (of the year to date): April 2, 9:06PM, ready squad responded to 1427 4th Ave NW, #2, Multi Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 20 minutes.

Call No. 74: April 4, 11:57AM, ready squad responded to 2314 Highway 281 South, Burger King, to investigate alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-cooking hood maintenance. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 15 minutes.

Call No. 75: April 6, 8:15AM, ready squad responded to 116 1st St East SE, Stutsman County Social Services, to investigate alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-cooking. Smoke alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 76: April 7, 9:14PM, ready squad responded to 503 3rd Ave SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate natural gas odor. Firefighters checked the structure and detected a leak. Montana Dakota Utilities was notified of the leak. Cause-leak around the outside meter. Time out 40 minutes.

Call No. 77: April 10, 1:01AM, ready squad responded to 1104 25th St SW, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 40 minutes.

Call No. 79: April 14, 10:11PM, ready squad responded to 817 20th St SW, McDonalds Restaurant, to investigate smoke in the structure. Firefighters detected a light haze of smoke. Cause-cooking hood exhaust fan not working and will be repaired. Time out 35 minutes.

Call No. 80: April 15, 8:40AM, ready squad responded to 1512 5th Ave SW, Single Family Dwelling, to investigate hissing noise. Firefighters checked the structure and detected nothing. Cause-undetermined. Time out 20 minutes.

Call No. 81: April 17, 9:25AM, fire department responded to 319 5th St NE, to a report of a power pole on smoking. Firefighters blocked off the streets until Otter Tail Power arrived on scene to cut power and repair. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.

Call No. 93: May 4, 5:48PM, fire department responded to 810 19th St NE, to a report of a natural gas leak. Firefighters detected natural gas coming from the ground and requested Montana Dakota Utilities to the scene to repair leak. Cause-stake punched the under-ground line. No injuries reported. Call No. 94: May 5, 10:17PM, fire department responded to 921 25th St SW, Walmart Parking Lot, to a report of a vehicle fire. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-undetermined engine compartment malfunction. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.

Call No. 95: May 7, 1:42AM, fire department heavy rescue responded to I-94 eastbound mile marker #260, of a report a person/s needing extricated from a semi-tractor. Person was out on arrival of fire units. Firefighters helped with traffic control. No other injuries reported. Time out 2 hours 30 minutes.
