A shop-shed was destroyed in an early afternoon fire northeast of Jamestown, said Brian Paulson, chief of Jamestown Rural Fire Department.
Stutsman County Communications Center received a 12:11 p.m. call about a shop fire in a building belonging to a farm at 3188 88th Ave. SE, northeast of Jamestown near the intersection of 32nd Street Southeast.
JRFD responded with five trucks and 18 firefighters, Paulson said. The fire occurred in a small machine shop with tools and equipment and was a total loss, he said.
“It is completely gone,” Paulson said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Paulson said. JRFD cleared the scene at 1:44 p.m.
