The Jamestown Fire Department responded to a call reporting a cut natural gas distribution line in the vicinity of Meidinger Park Thursday. The cut was attributed to construction work in the area, said Lt. Sheldon Mohr of the Fire Department.

The call came in about 11:30 a.m. with firefighters on scene for about one hour. The department responded with two units and five firefighters on the scene with another 20 firefighters at the fire stations on standby, Mohr said.

The leak did not ignite and was repaired by Montana-Dakota Utilities. No injuries were reported in the incident.
