Five people were sentenced recently on felony charges in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.
Christopher Houston Perman, 32, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to three counts of failure to register as a sexual offender and possession of drug paraphernalia, Class C felonies.
Perman was accused of being a registered sex offender and failing to register a change of address within three days with a local law enforcement agency on Feb. 7 and from Feb. 13 to March 8, being a registered sex offender and failing to register a change of vehicle within three days with a local law enforcement agency on March 6 and possessing one or more smoking devices used with methamphetamine with a previous conviction in 2019 on March 8.
Judge Cherie Clark sentenced Perman to one year and one day in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation concurrent with another case. Clark ordered Perman to participate in the 24-7 drug patch program for 60 days after he is either released from incarceration or termination of his parole, whichever comes later, and to comply with offender registration.
A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Cory Douglas Lamont, 34, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of personal identifying information, a Class B felony, unauthorized use of personal identifying information and unlawful entry into a vehicle-commit crime, Class C felonies, and theft of property, a Class B misdemeanor.
Lamont was accused of attempting to use another individual’s credit card without authorization, using an individual’s credit card in a purchase totaling over $1,000, taking and keeping an individual’s wallet with cash and gift cards valued at less than $500 and entering an individual’s vehicle intending to steal from it from Feb. 15-22.
Judge Troy LeFevre sentenced Lamont to two years in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation with credit for 25 days served concurrently with a previous case. LeFevre placed Lamont on 18 months supervised probation and ordered him to pay $2,152 in restitution.
A Class B felony is punishable by 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. A class B misdemeanor is punishable by 30 days in prison and a $1,500 fine.
Jay Lloyd Cichos, 56, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C felony, and criminal mischief, a Class A misdemeanor.
Cichos was accused of possessing one or more pipes used with methamphetamine with previous convictions in 2004 and causing anywhere from $100 to $2,000 worth of damage to another’s tangible property by breaking a door at a residence not owned by him on July 12.
LeFevre sentenced Cichos to 49 days in the Stutsman County Correctional Center with credit for 49 days served. LeFevre placed Cichos on 18 months supervised probation and ordered him to complete 25 hours of community service, get a chemical dependency evaluation and complete recommended treatment. LeFevre also ordered Cichos to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee, $35 indigent defense application fee, $300 indigent recoupment, $250 restitution, $25 victim-witness fee and a $25 community service supervision fee.
A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by 360 days in prison and a $3,000 fine.

Theresa Lynn Lafferty, 52, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy, a Class C felony.
Lafferty was accused of conspiring with other individuals to commit theft of property by retaining and/or selling an item belonging to a business valued at more than $1,000 but less than $10,000 from Sept. 1, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2021.
LeFevre sentenced Laferty to one day in the Stutsman County Correctional Center with credit for one day served. LeFevre placed Lafferty on 18 months supervised probation and ordered her to pay a $400 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee, $35 indigent defense application fee, $300 indigent recoupment, $800 restitution and a $25 victim-witness fee. The $800 restitution is joint with another individual.
Zachery Keith Lafferty, 61, Jamestown, pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy, a Class C felony.
