Former Fargo hospital worker sentenced for lie

FARGO (AP) -- A former MeritCare Medical Center worker accused of lying about a bomb threat was given a one-year suspended jail sentence and five years of supervised probation.

FARGO (AP) -- A former MeritCare Medical Center worker accused of lying about a bomb threat was given a one-year suspended jail sentence and five years of supervised probation.

Nicole Sinner, 29, of Casselton, is accused of reporting a bomb threat on Oct. 11 at MeritCare's Roger Maris Cancer Center, where she worked. The threat shut down MeritCare for four hours.

Sinner later said she made up the story, according to authorities.

She pleaded guilty to terrorizing on Monday East Central District Court. She earlier pleaded not guilty to a felony terrorizing charge.

East Central District Judge Wade Webb also ordered Sinner to perform 240 hours of community service.
