BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- A former North Dakota Republican chairman says he'll be serving as the North Dakota chairman of Texas Gov. Rick Perry's presidential campaign.
Gary Emineth says he supports Perry's proposals to encourage job creation and American energy production. Emineth says North Dakota will play an important part in helping the nation lessen its dependence on foreign oil.
Emineth was the North Dakota Republican Party's chairman for three years before he resigned last year. The Bismarck businessman is a former party finance director and executive director.
He says he'll be helping to develop grass-roots support for Perry in North Dakota.
