The Flags Across America flag at the All Veteran's Memorial at Fort Seward will not be flying for a few days, according to Steve Reidburn, director of the Sgt. E.W. Weise Interpretive Center at the fort site.
Reidburn said the pole had developed small structural defects that were of a concern to the group of volunteers who manages the flag and memorial.
"We want to take precautions to make sure things don't get worse," Reidburn said. "We're not going to fly the flag until experts have been able to assess the situation."
