DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) -- Authorities say the four Alabama fugitives involved in a standoff with law officers in North Dakota one year ago cost Stark County nearly $80,000 in jail, medical and other costs.

Ashton Mink, his wife Jacquelin Mink, his sister Angela Mink, and Joshua Southwick were charged in a Dickinson video store robbery and a later shootout with police at a rural Gladstone ranch.

Authorities say Southwick and Ashton Mink had escaped from an Alabama prison in May 2009 with help from the two women. They were captured June 6, 2009.

Angela Mink was sentenced to serve 10 years in prison, and Southwick and Ashton Mink to 20 years each. Jacquelin Mink is serving 7 1/2 years under plea deal, which involved her testifying against the others.
