DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) -- A 9-year-old girl from the Fargo area drowned at a municipal pool here, police said.
The girl was swimming at the Mike Dosch Memorial swimming pool, when she had drowned at about 3:45 p.m. Tuesday, said Devils Lake police Capt. Nannette Martin.
The girl was taken to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo by Life Flight, where she was pronounced dead, Martin said.
The death has been ruled accidental but is under investigation, Martin said.
Police said lifeguards were on duty at the time of the incident.
