A fogging operation to spray mosquitoes in the city of Jamestown will begin at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, and continue until 6 a.m. Thursday, July 25, according to the City Engineer's Office.

Parents are advised to keep children inside and away from the fogging machines. Motorists should use caution while traveling around the machinery.

The spraying operation is contingent on weather conditions, the City Engineer's Office said.

According the city of Jamestown's website, fog spraying is a strategy used to substantially decrease, but not completely eliminate, the mosquito population.
