The Federal Aviation Administration awarded $4.7 million in grants to North Dakota airports, according to information released by the state's congressional delegation.

In the Jamestown area, the Ellendale Municipal Airport received $454,488 to construct a taxiway to aircraft hangers, the Barnes County Municipal Airport received $150,000 for taxiway, apron and pavement maintenance and sealing, and the Oakes Municipal Airport received $82,800 for taxiway, runway and apron maintenance and sealing.

Nine airports around North Dakota received grants with Minot International Airport receiving about $2.1 million to reconstruct apron and taxiway pavement and provide additional aircraft parking.
