A Jamestown man has announced he will run for the North Dakota House of Representatives for District 12.

Grant Christensen was endorsed by the District 12 Republicans and will appear on the June primary election ballot.

Christensen was raised near Courtenay and attended Kensal Public School before being homeschooled. He attended the University of Jamestown studying computer science and information technology.

"I will be a voice for North Dakota taxpayers,” Christensen said. “In Bismarck, I hope to rein in the overspending that leads to property-tax increases — increases that hurt families."

Christensen is employed at Dynamics Marketing and has been politically active as a volunteer and staffer in previous campaigns.
