The Jamestown City Council delayed action on the planned city cleanup week during its regular meeting Monday.
The Jamestown Public Works Committee forwarded the cleanup week to the City Council without recommendation at its March 25 meeting. The item will now be on the April 22 Public Works Committee agenda.
If approved, city cleanup week is tentatively planned for the week of May 10-14. No cleanup week was held in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and possible flooding concerns.
The City Council also allowed the remaining mask mandate in Jamestown to expire. A mask mandate for the public ended in March but the mask mandate for employees who dealt with the public remained in place until April 5.
