The driver in a hit-and- run collision with an unocupied vehicle was cited Monday after an investigation, according to the Jamestown Police Department
The accident happened at 3:35 a.m. on Sept. 29 in the 600 block of First Street West.
Jeronimo Garcia, 25, 1503 Western Park Village, was driving a 1997 Dodge pickup eastbound by the 600 block of First Street West. He struck an unoccupied 2003 Dodge passenger car that was parked facing east.
According to the report, a witness said the pickup sustained heavy front-end damage and proceeded quickly to Fifth Avenue Southwest, then onto Second Street Southwest, and then into the Burlington North Santa Fe Railway yard.
On Sunday a police officer was able to identify the striking vehicle and questioned Garcia.

Garcia admitted he was the driver and at the time of the accident he was scared so he drove away, the report said.
There was an estimated $3,000 in damage to the pickup and $2,000 estimated damage to the passenger car.
Garcia was cited for drove without a valid operators' license and leaving the scene of an accident of an unattended motor vehicle.
