Homecoming royalty to be crowned

Jamestown College will crown its 2011 homecoming queen and king at a coronation ceremony at 7 p.m. Monday in Voorhees Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

Jamestown College will crown its 2011 homecoming queen and king at a coronation ceremony at 7 p.m. Monday in Voorhees Chapel. The event is free and open to the public.

Queen candidates are Cambrya Belter, Somerset, Wis.; Amy Frederiksen, Ames, Iowa; Leah Jystad, Jamestown; Caroline Ortman, Harvey, N.D.; Samantha Riehl, Raleigh, N.D., and Tressa Tulibaski, Argyle, Minn.

King candidates are Kyle Blumenshine, Riverton, Wyo.; Jordan Bondley, Bismarck; Caleb Grossman, Grand Rapids, Minn.; Chris Kjolhaug, Clearbrook, Minn.; Jacob Niemeier, Jamestown; and Justin Shipman, Watford City, N.D.

Coronation marks the beginning of homecoming week at Jamestown College. Activities include a downtown storefront decorating contest, a campfire night, and a tailgating party. The Homecoming Street Fair takes place Saturday morning, and the Jimmies host Mayville State in the Homecoming football game at 1 p.m. Saturday. Visit www.jc.edu and alumni.jc.edu for more events.
