SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) -- Hot, dry and windy conditions continue to spark wildfires in the Dakotas

KELO-TV reports that a blaze on the Todd County-Tripp County line in South Dakota has grown to about 20,000 acres. KCCR and KGFX radio report that a fire burned about 650 acres of sunflowers and corn in Sully County on Wednesday.

The Press & Dakotan newspaper reports that two Yankton firefighters were injured fighting a field fire in Nebraska's Cedar County. They were reported in good condition after receiving medical attention. KGFX says a Kennebec firefighter suffered smoke inhalation and minor burns battling a blaze in Lyman County.

In North Dakota, Emmons and Billings counties have declared burn bans.

The National Weather Service says a "red flag" fire danger warning remains in effect for much of the Dakotas.
